.: it's just good practice to stop and ponder (as frequently as possible) the things that you are thankful for; otherwise they slip past and don't receive the kind of recognition they deserve. so the THANKFULNESS PROJECT is a personal challenge to find at least one thing every day that I am thankful for - silly things, weird things, funny things, simple things, random things, food things, nature things, God things, people things, ALL THINGS. it's good to be grateful :.

i'm thankful for...


Deer popping up in the backyard. I actually shouldn’t be thankful for this because it probably means the deer population is out of whack -- I live in town, in an apartment complex. It’s not normal for deer to be prancing about in these areas. However, I have never had anything significant show up in any backyard that I have had and something as elusive and secretive and mysterious as deer seems significant to me. Of course a grizzly bear or penguin would be incredible, but in that case I would be less thankful and far more shocked.

At the time I was recording these deer, I was also watching The Office, which you can hear in the background. It’s kind of funny.

PS: the video clarity is crap, but it's better than the pictures i took....
